This festive season, Coventry will be celebrating Christmas in all its grandeur.
From 29th November to 23rd December a Victorian style Gingerbread House will reside over the fountain in Precinct Cross, bringing a sense of nostalgia to the heart of the city. Decorated with giant candy cane pillars and a jammy dodger roof, the ornate structure, brought to you by the Museum of Curiosities, will be covered with festive lights, bringing a warm and magical glow to the cold winter nights.
The Christmas story will be bought to life with performances from a group of traditional Victorian characters, the Spiritus Statua, adding a sense of mystery to the fairytale. These Statua in extraordinary costumes and surreal make up, with detailed choreography and distinctive music accompanying their story, will capture the imagination of the audience, leaving them breathless with anticipation and wanting more.
Come and experience this unique showpiece and get into the Christmas spirit with this extraordinary celebration of Christmas past.
