Lottie’s BIG passion is food, especially at Christmas time. The sweet smell of roasting chestnuts, the spicy aroma of mulled wine, the delicate fragrance of sugared almonds – all are gastronomic delights that are irresistible to our sweet-toothed statue. When she is not busy performing to the citizens of Coventry you will most likely find Lottie indulging herself in tasty treats from the likes of TCO Deli in City Arcade, her favourites are the world class chocolate brownies or making the most of the all you can eat buffets in Cosmo and M.Y.O.
Her happy-go-lucky outlook on life is infectious and she can turn the dreariest of tea parties into a riot of laughter and song. For Lottie, yuletide is about being with those you love and celebrating all that life has to offer. There is never a dull moment when Lottie is around. She is the life and soul of the party and approaches each new day with passion and gusto.
She likes nothing more than sharing the magic of Christmas with others, and for this reason Lottie is the most big-hearted of all the Gingerbread Housemates, providing superb food with fresh ingredients from Coventry Market accompanied by traditional and quirky cuts of meat from Stuart Francis Butchers. Lottie spends hours trawling through independent boutiques such as Gladrags and Silver Glade to find the perfect thoughtful trinket.
Ms Sixpence is renowned as the hostess with the mostess throughout her circle of friends as she provides excellent company and free flowing drinks and nibbles, courtesy of bodyfuel and Tesco Express, on equal scale. Although she has been known to cheat after a particularly heavy night out at the Skydome and pass off Sainsburys’ ‘Takeaway’ range as her own! Nevertheless, her parties are legendary and her taste in music is impeccable. She keeps one step ahead from the crowd by religiously scouring the newly opened HMV for more mainstream releases and heads to Midnight Records and Renegade for some alternative classics to get people talking – and dancing! Some say Lottie can be generous to a fault, but it is in her nature to make everyone feel special and loved.
By night our girl loves strutting her stuff into the small hours on any one of Coventry’s dance floors, be it cheesy pop in newly launched Impulse, or bumping and grinding to the RnB smashers in Lava and Ignite. She has even jumped on stage with the staff from Jumpin’ Jaks and bust out one or two special moves. Lottie has bags and bags of energy, she is also a member of Coventry Sports centre where she attends fitness classes such as Body Pump and Spinning – definitely not for the faint hearted!
Lottie is terribly excited about making her debut in Coventry as she has heard that there will be a Chinese Christmas Market in the town during her stay, she can’t wait to try the freshly made spring rolls and is hoping to simple a few wontons before she checks out the beautiful hand made lanterns. Food, glorious food, gorgeous oriental crafts and a wonderful opportunity to amaze the good people of Coventry with a spectacular performance from THE MUSEUM OF CURIOSITIES – what more could a girl ask for? Well, maybe a gift-wrapped cheese board and a vintage bottle of port from Marks and Spencer’s wouldn’t go amiss?
