Ever since he was a young crackling, warmly tucked away in his cracker box underneath the Christmas tree with his parents and siblings, Crispin has revelled in the joy of the festive season.
A child at heart, Crispin loves everything about Christmas and as with all the statues embraces it with gusto. Around November time he always feels a rush of eager anticipation, knowing that very soon the Christmas season will be around the corner. Feeling such pleasure and exhilaration can sometimes lead to high fuse pressure that builds up inside his tummy, which would, if he were not careful, put him in the very dangerous position of exploding with pure excitement.
When Crispin discovered that Peppa Pig would be visiting Santa’s Grotto in West Orchards shopping centre at the Christmas Light Switch On, he let out a shriek so loud it startled an elderly lady who was passing by, causing her to drop her cream cake she’d bought from Greggs seconds earlier! Crispin immediately apologised and felt so guilty used his pocket money to buy her a replacement cake and a beautiful bouquet from Tomlinson’s in City Arcade. Bless!
In fact when Peppa Pig last came to Coventry it was an eventful time for the statues. Crispin became so in awe of his hero, it took 25 Marks and Spencer mince pies, the promise of unlimited trips to Planet Ice, blatant bribery with an Entertainer voucher and the entire Salvation Army Band to entice him back home!
Experience has taught Crispin that Christmas is worth the wait, but this does not stop him compiling his Christmas letter to Santa which he begins in earnest around June. To date we are under good authority that this letter is 45 pages long. This year Crispin REALLY wants a Nintendo Wii Console from Game. He’s already entered the 12 Days of Christmas competition as he’s heard the trip to Lapland includes a special visit to Santa’s sorting office! The little lamb has started checking out the abundance of winter sports gear and clothing in 2 Seasons, Field & Trek and Trespass not to mention the luggage set from Debenhams just in case he is the lucky winner!
